Ms. Tomoko Ohgata takes advantage of the patterns and dyed kimonos that are rare these days and transforms them into costumes for Hina-dolls. While respecting the Japanese culture of "Girl’s Day (Hina-matsuri),'' craftsmen created the dolls by matching colors from a variety of kimonos in order to make them feel familiar and enjoyable. Ms. Ohgata's dolls are popular for their color patterns and designs that fit any room's interior design. Ms. Ogata says that she wants people to feel the bonds of family and connections with other people through the story of the kimono. What kind of future does she envision?
